![]() The controls are one of the best parts of the game. There are few VR games that you can "binge", but this one gets close. I think this reason is why Vox has been played every night for me. I have broken my back before so limited movement is great after I have a rough day of work. I don't really get motion sickness (except for Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifice) so I will poke around the settings to make sure. I've only played the game on regular settings and have not changed anything. I will do some research and get back to you in the coming days. We are all susceptible to different issues it seems - but does Vox essentially have 'normal' game controls but youre aiming and stuff with your touch controllers? but regular turning, as if it was a gamepad - my brain has no trouble with that in VR i dont understand how this is less nausea inducing than just regular turning, but hey, oculus and steam did the research and apparently it works for some people - but ya, when i did snap turning i felt like i was gonna be sick so bad. The snap turning is the one that REALLY blows my mind - i tried snap turning and that was the first time i got real vr sickness, i needed to go lay down and everything. so classic gaming controls work just fine for me in VR, no teleporting or any of that snap turning and stuff. ![]() is that how Vox plays? or do they atleast have the option for it? i dont experience motion sickness when making a character 'turn' with the control stick. so does Vox basically 'control' the same way that like Fallout4VR controls - you can put it to 'direct control' and it basically moves/turns like any shooter but you can adjust your view by moving your head around, but at the end of the day, its two analog sticks to control your character and turning. So yeah, seated experiences are gonna be my jam for a long, long time. but its just not practical for someone like me with limited space. This move theyve been making toward standing experiences is commendable - i think its really cool. I just want the immersion, but am more than willing to use 'normal' video game controls to make VR work when i get home after the day the last thing i wanna do is be dodging and weaving around my bedroom in VR. and to be honest, im not an old old man or anything, but i am 31. I just dont have the room (and likely will never have it) for a standing VR experience. ![]() I am 100% in the camp of seated experiences. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants the best seated experience so far. But this luck is gonna run out eventually if a storm ever came up through the bay - Tampa would be just as, if not more fucked, than New Orleans was all those years ago.īut. New Orleans atleast tried to counteract the storm with some outdated levies. so if a storm surge were to really hit tampa hard like what happened to new orleans - we dont have any levies at all. you get past the coastline and alot of the area is BELOW sea level. Uhg and i dont mean to get into the politics of it - but its frustrating being in Tampa cause we are literally a 'bowl' in the same way New Orleans was. tampa was just a total mess for weeks after that last one. Last time a hurricane hit my area, last year, we lost power for like 14 days. Thanks bud - got through it just fine thankfully! No power outages either - my dogs and cats were scared to death but thats all we had to deal with thankfully.
